Brittany and Jonathan were having a summer wedding, full of vibrant colours, including their flowers. They decided on this 4 tier fondant covered cake, with hand painted greenery and gum paste lilies in fuchsias, pinks, corals, and white. We had fun making each lily unique and as realistic as possible.
The tiers of this cake were each a different flavour, with combinations including Vanilla Bean Pound with Vanilla Bean Buttercream, Almond Pound with Almond Buttercream, and Decadent Chocolate with Chocolate Buttercream. Yum!
We had a treat on this delivery. We never get to see the bride’s face when we deliver a cake. It was such a scorchingly hot day though, that Brittany and her bridesmaids got ready at the reception venue, to take advantage of the air conditioning (soooo smart!). So when we delivered the cake, we had the privilege of seeing their reactions. It made our day!
